Superfood Snack Bars for On-the-Go Energy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup of desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of almonds
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 2/3 teaspoon of mixed spice
  • 2 tablespoons of Organic Nature’s Living Superfood
  • 3 tablespoons of ground flax
  • Cacao nibs (optional)
  • Stevia or honey to taste

Method

Place the almonds and pumpkin seeds in a food processor and pulse briefly until they are chunky but not whole. Set the nuts and seeds aside.

Place the sunflower seeds and coconut oil in the food processor. Process them until the sunflower seeds form nut butter. This will take around ten minutes. If you have a nut or seed butter you want to use instead, substitute with that if you prefer.

Add the remaining ingredients and process until well combined. Taste and add sweetener as desired.

Place all ingredients into a bowl and combine thoroughly. Line a small, shallow dish with baking paper. Spoon the mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.

Freeze for one hour. Cut into bars and wrap into individual portions. Freeze and enjoy!

Fruity Smoothie

Ingredients:

The Zinger Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of celery
  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 thumb size ginger
  • 1 tsp Nature’s Living Superfood
  • Handful of ice

How to create:

Juice the celery, parsley and apples, lemon and ginger and add to a blender with the avocado and Nature’s Living Superfood. Give them all a whiz for a few seconds and enjoy.

Lemon & Mint

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1 cup melon
  • 1 pear
  • 1-2 tablespoons of chopped fresh mint to taste
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp Nature’s Living Superfood

How to create:

Add all ingredients to a blender and give them all a whiz until smooth.

Pour over ice and enjoy.

Berry-licious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Tsp Chia Seeds (soaked for 5 mins) – optional
  • 1 tsp Nature’s Living Superfood
  • 1 tsp Cocao Powder – optional
  • Handful of ice

How to create:

Add all ingredients to a blender and whiz until smooth.

Pour over ice and enjoy.

Apples & Cinnamon

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples, cored
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tangerines, peeled and deseeded
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 handful kale, or other green leafs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp Nature’s Living Superfood
  • Handful of ice

How to create:

Add all ingredients to a blender and whiz until smooth.

Pour over ice and enjoy.

Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 6 large strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup water

How to create:

Add all ingredients to a blender and give them all a whiz until smooth.
